What is Laser Cutting?

Metal laser cutting machines are widely used machines in many sectors. There are a wide variety of industries that use this technology. In addition, they allow tubular cuts in some models or even create combinations of them. Sectors such as metallurgy, automobile industry, prototyping or industrial productions require this type of machinery to work quickly and efficiently.

We recall that a computerized numerical control (CNC) system is a system of two guides that move the laser head to the desired position. In this type of models, a fiber laser is used that communicates through a fiber optic cable so that we do not need a mirror system, the laser beam communicates quickly towards the head.

The fiber laser has a lifespan of up to 100,000 hours and a very good resolution which makes it perfect for these applications. It has an energy efficiency superior to its brother the Co2 laser.

With this technology, a large quantity of steels, aluminum and other metals are cut industrially and with great speed. It tends to have large work surfaces to be able to produce the maximum number of units in the minimum time and also reduce the waste of the material.
