LASER MARKING
Laser Marking
Laser Marking
Laser Marking allows us to permanently mark a surface with incredible speed. We can work all kinds of materials with sharp marks. Through “laser marking” we achieve different finishes in the materials depending on the procedure and the configuration we carry out. Laser marking enables fast, high-quality finishes with complex details.
Laser marking equipment is designed for laser marking and engraving, but depending on the material and thickness they can even CUT.

What is laser marking?
Laser marking achieve incredible speeds using a technology called Galvo technology. Unlike CNC technology, the laser head should not be positioned at the point where we want to mark, but rather two mirrors located at a greater distance from the material are used that rotate quickly and reach the material positions to be marked more quickly. This technology allows the head not to reach the places to work on, but to remain fixed. It is understood by full machine laser marking equipment that uses this technology to make its engravings and different types of lasers can be incorporated depending on the material we want to work with.
With a laser machine we can mark different materials such as: stainless steel, Zamak, PVC, carbon steel, nickel-plated metals, silver, gold, aluminum, painted in acrylic, among other options. Laser marking allows you to implement logo, image, code and word designs on different surfaces.
It is a very versatile technology, and can be applied to many different industries. Laser marking is a good option for the personalization of objects and articles of different materials, traceability of products with a reference, date of dispatch, expiration date or barcode.
It can also be integrated into a production line to incorporate logos or references to our products and integrate it into a chain production. Other options could be: deep engraving of metals, cutting of gold and silver in jewelry or marking of references.

Laser Marking Analysis
Advantages
Marking Speed
The marking speed can be very high, on the order of 8000 mm / s of linear engraving or even more. Parts can be marked in a matter of seconds or thousandths of seconds.
Maintenance
Laser marking equipment, as a general rule, has a much lower maintenance than laser engraving and cutting equipment that uses computerized numerical control (CNC) technology.
Compact machines
These teams generally occupy a smaller volume. This means that they are more portable and maneuverable and we can even take the head with us and mark in more complex places that with a CNC system it would be impossible to reach. Equipments with everything integrated to work easily and faster.Â
Versatility
With the laser marking machine we can work a wide variety of metallic materials and some plastics.
Disadvantages
Work Area
The work area depends on the lens used by the laser equipment. If we increase the work area a lot by changing the lens, we must also increase the power of the laser because otherwise the energy that reaches the material is considerably lower and then, we would decrease the marking speed.
